how to prevent attacks when u have no moons

ok, there are a couple of ways to keep from being attacked, 1 if your online when the attack is taking place, be polite because the attacker is doing what he is suppose to,raiding. all u have to do is simply send them a message saying "online" this will work 9 out of 10 times, unless the attacker is one of those that launches attacks and then goes offline, not watching the attacks go thru. if the attacker doesnt recall you are forced to try to either spend your resorces quickly, or load onto your ships and send off on any kind of mission until after the attack, then recall them back.

how to keep from being raided when you are offline. this is easy , you either have to spend it all before you go offline. or you have to use deploy missions to your colonies, sent at a slow speed timed to where they deliver close to the time that you will be online again, i wouldnt waste alot of resorces on defense, if your still in noob protection 20 rockets will usually be enough to keep other noobs away .
